Hire a Cardiff wedding magician
Top tips
As you are on this page, there is a good chance you are looking to hire a magician for your event or wedding in Cardiff, or are at least thinking about wedding entertainment ideas. The following short guide will highlight some of the things that are important to consider when hiring a wedding magician in Cardiff, or any other area. For more information on any of the points covered, please take a look at my blog here.
5 tips to ensure you hire a quality wedding magician
1. Is the magician a professional?
This does not mean full time or part time, this is not important. What is important is that they have made the effort to at least have a website, custom email (not a YAHOO or GMAIL) and a social media presence. If they have made the effort to have these then their professional image is important to them which will mean the service they provide to you is also of equal importance.
2. How much does it cost to hire a magician?
The answer is that is varies depending on what you want. Is the most expensive option the best? The answer to this question is not always, how many times have you been to an expensive restaurant only to find the food and quality of service not up to expectations. You can and should expect quotes to be anywhere between £200 - £600 depending on how long you want the magician you are hiring in Bridgend to perform.
3. Is a magician value for money?
The answer is an unequivocal YES! The key to a great wedding day or event for your guests is enjoyment, magic is unrivalled in its ability to provide immediate moments of astonishment, laughter and guests interaction. Your guests WILL remember the magic they experience from James! If you are expecting 100 guests, chair covers could cost anything up to £5 per person (£500 in total) and regardless how pretty they are, nobody will remember them. If you pay £350 for a magician, thats only £3.50 per head and everyone will both remember and talk about James' magic for a long time after your event is over.
4. Have a demonstration from the magician you want to hire!
Having a magician recommended to you is great but ultimately you need to be sure that the magician you hire is the right person for you. Most professional magicians that are available for hire will offer free, no obligation demonstrations so you can witness first hand the type and style of magic the magician performs.
5. Be aware of marketing
The term 'award winning' is perhaps the most used . Often these 'awards' are nothing substantial and many amount to nothing more than a trophy from friends at their local magic club.
